Our Story
Homes by Wolf Creek was founded by longtime friends and NC State classmates Warren Mitchell and Marc Lisi, who share both an engineering background and a love of construction.
With more than 25 years of experience each — spanning civil engineering, development, and hands-on building — they created Wolf Creek to bring something different to Chapel Hill: a neighborhood of well-crafted homes, thoughtfully designed, in a community where people truly connect.
What began as a shared passion has become a partnership rooted in trust, craftsmanship, and care. Together, Warren and Marc are building more than houses — they’re creating homes built for living, designed for life.
Warren Mitchell
A Chapel Hill native, Warren has spent his career blending engineering expertise with a love of building. Licensed as both a civil engineer and general contractor, he’s overseen projects ranging from residential communities to commercial developments — but his greatest satisfaction comes from creating single-family homes built to last.
With Homes by Wolf Creek, Warren combines technical skill and hometown roots to craft houses that feel both thoughtful and enduring. He and his wife of 25 years continue to call Chapel Hill home.
Marc Lisi
Originally from Pennsylvania, Marc came to North Carolina to study Civil Engineering at NC State — and never left. His career has taken him from commercial construction and millwork to custom homebuilding, giving him a well-rounded perspective on quality and craft. Inspired by his father’s belief that the rarest gift is to love what you do and be good at it, Marc brings both passion and precision to every project.
Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, gardening, golf, and traveling with his wife, Kathleen.
